This tutorial is not going to help you become an A+ Award Winning Vidder. It does not discuss "good" vidding as far as aesthetics, music choice, clip choice, effects, titles, themes, talking heads, and all these other things that are perfectly valid discussions. What it will do is get you out of this challenge with your 35 points and hopefully at least a modicum of your sanity still intact.

First, you need a program to vid with. The most popular suggestion for freeware is probably Windows Movie Maker, but that thing is a fickle bitch, so my suggestion is Windows Live Movie Maker. Slightly different, but seems to crash waaaaaaaaaaayyy less, yay. I suggest downloading it even if you have WMM on your comp already.

A little about yourself: I'm currently a university student (major is English Studies, minor is German Studies) although that might change in the near future. I love my family and friends and have recently decided to be more active in my fandoms (which actually only pertains to Harry Potter atm). I regularly spam my LJ with real-life-nonsense and whine about the unfairness of life and have regular bouts of "I wanna go hooooome" (so be warned!) but I'm usually in a happy mood. I frequent the Alias board over at www.fanforum.com and have been doing so for the past 3ish years. It's one of the first shows I got actually excited about (the other one was Gilmore Girls) and I still love it like I did all those years ago.

LJ being as graphic savvy/oriented as it is, this may not even be necessary. However, should there be anyone who does not have a graphic program on their computer (aside from paint) or even just not that savvy with the program they have, this is for you. During this phase for the tag banners, we are not able to make banners for other people so it is up to ourselves. While this tutorial was made with the signature banner in mind, it can be applied to any graphic challenge we have during this phase at jjverse.
